About these terms Website use Rentals Payments Venue hosts Partners Liability Contact

1. About these terms

Voltara Power Ltd operates a UK power bank rental network. In these terms, "Voltara", "we", "us" and "our" means Voltara Power Ltd.

By using this website, submitting a form, contacting us or using a Voltara station, you agree to follow these terms. A specific rental screen, payment screen, signed venue agreement, partner agreement or advertising agreement may add extra terms for that transaction or relationship.

2. Website use

You may use this website for lawful personal or business purposes. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, submit false information, attempt to access private systems, or use it in a way that could damage Voltara, our users, our suppliers or our venue partners.

We try to keep website information accurate, but content may change as the network grows. Venue availability, projected revenue, partner details, prices, service areas and product features may be updated without notice.

3. Power bank rentals

Voltara stations allow customers to rent portable power banks from participating venues. A customer rents a power bank, keeps their phone with them, and returns the power bank to a Voltara station when finished.

When you rent a Voltara power bank, you are responsible for using it safely, carefully and only for its intended purpose, subject to any legal rights and protections that cannot be excluded.

  • Rental availability depends on station stock, payment acceptance, venue access, opening hours and technical status.
  • You are responsible for returning the power bank in good condition and by the time shown in the rental flow.
  • You must not tamper with, damage, sell, lend, modify or deliberately fail to return a Voltara power bank.
  • You must use the power bank only for normal portable phone/device charging with compatible devices, connectors and cables. Do not force connectors, use the power bank with a damaged device, or use it for any unsafe or unusual purpose.
  • Before and during use, check that the power bank appears safe. Do not use it if it appears damaged, wet, leaking, unusually hot, swollen, punctured, crushed, burnt, making unusual noises, or otherwise unsafe.
  • Keep the power bank dry and away from open flames, excessive heat, liquids, soft furnishings, bedding, clothing, children, pets and anything flammable. Do not open, pierce, crush, bend, throw, cover, submerge or leave it charging unattended in an unsafe place.
  • If a power bank becomes hot, damaged, wet, swollen or unsafe, stop using it immediately if safe to do so, disconnect it from your device, keep it away from flammable materials, and report it to Voltara using the support contact below.
  • You are responsible for loss, damage, costs or claims caused by your misuse, careless handling, tampering, failure to follow these safety rules, use with an unsuitable or damaged device, or failure to return the power bank.
  • If a power bank is not returned, is returned damaged, or is misused, non-return, replacement, damage or admin charges may apply as shown before or during the rental flow.

If a station screen, payment screen or receipt shows specific rental prices, time limits, return rules or charges, those transaction-specific terms apply to that rental.

4. Payments, refunds and disputes

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not use this website to collect full card details. You authorise the relevant rental, pre-authorisation, extension, non-return, refund or adjustment shown in the rental flow.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact support@voltarapower.co.uk with the venue, date, approximate time, cabinet/station details if available, payment reference if available, and a clear description of the issue.

We may need reasonable evidence before issuing a refund or adjustment. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

5. Venue host enquiries

Submitting a host enquiry does not guarantee that Voltara will install a station. We may review venue type, location, likely footfall, customer fit, placement options, operational suitability and network value before deciding whether to proceed.

Where a station is installed, the venue relationship may be governed by a separate written or signed agreement. Any projections, statistics or examples on the website are estimates only and are not guaranteed earnings.

6. Partner, operator and advertising enquiries

Submitting a partner or advertising enquiry does not create a partnership, franchise, licence, territory, agency relationship or advertising booking. Any partner, operator, licensing, territory, brand, revenue share or advertising arrangement must be agreed separately in writing.

Revenue examples, payback periods, site categories and rollout plans are planning estimates. Actual performance can vary because of venue quality, station visibility, pricing, seasonality, footfall, payment fees, non-return rates, advertising sales and operational discipline.

7. Intellectual property

Voltara names, logos, designs, page content, documents, graphics, product images and brand materials belong to Voltara or our licensors. You must not copy, modify or use them for your own commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Third-party services and venues

Voltara may depend on venues, payment providers, hosting providers, station suppliers, connectivity providers and other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.

Participating venues are independent businesses. Unless agreed in writing, venue staff are not authorised to change Voltara rental terms, waive charges or promise refunds on Voltara's behalf.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these terms requires you to accept responsibility for loss or injury caused by a defective product, Voltara's negligence, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, you accept responsibility for using rented power banks carefully and for losses caused by your misuse, tampering, deliberate damage, use with unsuitable or damaged devices, failure to follow safety instructions, or failure to return the power bank.

Subject to the wording above, Voltara is not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, venue downtime, customer device issues caused by misuse, unavailable stations, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Voltara develops. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date. If a change is important for an active rental, venue agreement or partner agreement, we will handle it in line with the relevant contract and law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights in the country where you live.
