1. Who we are

Voltara Power Ltd operates a UK power bank rental network for venues, customers, advertisers and future local partners. In this policy, "Voltara", "we", "us" and "our" means Voltara Power Ltd.

For privacy questions, contact support@voltarapower.co.uk. For general business enquiries, contact hello@voltarapower.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

We only aim to collect information that is needed to run, improve and support the Voltara network.

  • Contact details such as name, email address, phone number, company, venue name and location.
  • Information submitted through website forms, emails, support requests, venue applications, partner applications or advertising enquiries.
  • Rental and support information such as station location, cabinet ID, charger return status, customer support notes, payment reference, rental timing and issue history.
  • Payment-related information needed to process rentals, non-return charges, refunds, receipts and disputes. Full card details are handled by payment providers rather than stored directly on this website.
  • Website and technical information such as device type, browser, approximate location, referring page, page visits, form submission status and hosting logs.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to operate Voltara, respond to people properly, and keep the network reliable.

  • To respond to customer, venue, partner, support and advertising enquiries.
  • To assess venue suitability, plan installations, manage station placements and support host relationships.
  • To process rentals, returns, payments, non-return charges, refunds, support requests and disputes.
  • To detect misuse, prevent fraud, protect stations, investigate failed returns and keep the service secure.
  • To analyse station performance, improve placement decisions and understand which venue types work best.
  • To send relevant service messages, operational updates and, where permitted, business marketing communications.
  • To keep records required for accounting, tax, legal, insurance, contract and compliance purposes.

Our lawful bases may include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation and consent, depending on the reason we are using the information.

4. Who we share information with

We may share personal information with trusted suppliers and partners where needed to run the service.

  • Payment processors, card terminal providers and rental platform providers.
  • Website hosting, form handling, email, storage, analytics, support and IT suppliers.
  • Venue hosts, network partners or installation/support contractors when needed to resolve a site or rental issue.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, insurers, banks, payment providers and solicitors.
  • Regulators, law enforcement, courts or public bodies if we are legally required to do so.

If any supplier processes personal information outside the UK, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used where required by data protection law.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the reason it was collected, then delete or anonymise it where practical.

  • General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
  • Venue, partner and advertising records may be kept while the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Rental, payment, accounting and dispute records may be kept for up to 6 years where needed for tax, accounting, legal or chargeback reasons.
  • Marketing preferences are kept until someone unsubscribes or asks us to stop contacting them.
  • Technical logs are normally kept for a limited period unless needed for security, fraud prevention or support.

6. Your rights

Depending on the situation, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To exercise a privacy right, email support@voltarapower.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

7. Cookies and website technology

The public Voltara website is designed to be simple. It may use essential technologies needed to load pages, secure forms, remember basic browser state or run the website properly.

The internal rollout map may load third-party map and tile services so the map can display. Website hosting providers may also create standard server logs. If we add advertising, retargeting or analytics cookies later, this policy and cookie information should be updated.

8. Children

Voltara is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review it.
